Thanks so much for your prayers, encouragement, and financial support! It's encouraging to have friends and family standing with us as we step out in faith, following Jesus' call to make disciples of all nations, and to be His ambassadors of reconciliation in the world.

Almost half way there!
It's been a couple weeks since we've posted, so we thought we would give a brief update on our support status. Over the past couple weeks we have had a few more people join our team as monthly financial partners, and we are about 47% funded! We could surpass 50% any day now!

Send Me!
We received a newsletter this week from JAARS, which is one of the many organizations using airplanes to support worldwide missions. It is always so exciting to read about the ways that aircraft are being used to further God's kingdom, and to literally save the lives of men, women and children in remote parts of the world. These stories motivate me to work hard and pray for our financial support, as we desire to be on the front lines, serving through missionary aviation.
A theme that stood out in this newsletter was the need for laborers to go and serve. In fact, JAARS currently has 40 open positions! And JAARS is only one of many organizations in need of pilots, mechanics, administrators and other support staff.
The need is great! There are people in remote parts of the world who are dying for lack of the physical and spiritual restoration that we can offer in the name of Christ. The thing is, we have the means and the tools to help them right now. But where are those who will stand up and say, "Here am I. Send me!"?
I and my family have stepped out in faith to respond to God's call. Jesus said to his disciples, "the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." (Matthew 9:37-38). We are eager to go! There are airplanes waiting to be flown and people waiting to be served. But the reality is we cannot go without friends who will partner with us, sending us out with prayer and financial support.
As much as I love to read about how God is working through missionary aviation, it can also be difficult and even heart-wrenching. I desperately yearn to go and help meet the needs that exist in missionary aviation. Reading stories from blogs and newsletters just feeds my desire even more, making the waiting—and the sitting in my cubicle day after day—nearly unbearable. Would you please pray for us as we continue to contact potential ministry partners and trust God for provision? Would you pray that God would move in the hearts of the people through whom He will meet our ongoing financial needs? And, finally, would you pray about how you might partner with us in this calling?
Thank you so much, and may God richly bless you!

April 2013 Newsletter
We are sending out our second newsletter this week. You can get a sneak peak here. If you would like to be added to our mailing list, feel free to contact us.
I'm happy to say that our newsletter is slightly outdated already! We are now at 32% of our monthly financial goal (not 29% as reported in our newsletter). This figure does not include some additional commitments that we are aware of, which have not yet been sent to MMS.
This week we plan to make a lot of follow-up phone calls, so please pray for us and the potential ministry partners we will be contacting. The anticipation is building, and I can't wait to begin serving in missionary aviation. But I cannot begin full-time service with MMS Aviation until our monthly financial need is met. We are praying that we will reach 100% by the end of the summer. Frankly, this doesn't seem possible, but we know that God is able to multiply our efforts and bring in the finances quicker than we could expect.
Thanks for your interest in our ministry, and for your prayers offered on our behalf. May God richly bless you!
